In 2004, John Poletes started his own general law practice in Toronto and focuses primarily on real estate closings, commercial leasing, business transactions, and wills and estates.
Currently John enjoys lecturing for the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC) on legal issues and ethics related to real estate. He also delivers his own seminars to the brokerage community on a variety of real estate topics.
Prior to practicing law, John was a real estate broker specializing in commercial real estate, and the manager of a real estate office in Thornhill. He has been an OREA instructor, served on the Arbitration Committee, and maintained his TREB membership since 1983.
John obtained an LL.B. from Queen’s University Law School and holds a Bachelor of Administrative Studies with a certificate in Real Estate Studies from York University.
